about the author

Beka Gremikova writes folkloric fantasy from her little nook in the Ottawa Valley, Ontario, Canada. Some of her first stories were human survival tales featuring animal companions (thanks to Julie of the Wolves) and written on scrap paper her mother brought home from work, complete with her own illustrations. Nowadays, her stories lie in the more fantastical direction, often including twists on familiar archetypes, and she enjoys a soft spot for darkly-whimsical-yet-hopeful tales. Her stories often include strong friendships, healthy romances, and slightly spooky villains.

When she’s not writing, dabbling in art, or obsessing over anime and manga, she’s playing video games—usually either The Legend of Zelda or Disney's Dreamlight Valley—curled up in a corner with a mystery novel, or watching food channels on Youtube.
